Coming up with a name for this blog was a challenge, but then my fiancé Bryan remembered this story. I was walking up Columbus Avenue a few months ago and saw some old students- NYC is such a small world. I was walking by when one of them exclaimed ‘Hey, that’s my teacher! Hey, Dance Teacher Lady!’. And so the name was born…
I recounted the story to a close friend and her fiancé over brunch a few days later and he’s been calling me that ever since. It’s kind of become my unofficial nickname. (Thanks Greg).

I was thinking about what would make use this name. I think it is great and I also like the fact that you refer to Mr. Dance Teacher Lady for Bryan. It’s okay because I am called Ornelas’s wife with the guys that Alejandro works with.
